Gas Line Rupture Under Atmos Investigation

A major gas line was hit yesterday and the incident in under investigation.

The rupture was caused by a plumber excavating in the area.  The service disruption affected eight homes in the 2500 block of South Polk.  The incident also prompted the evacuation of several residents in the area.

Atmos restored service to all homes around 6pm.
