Forklift Accident Kills Amarillo Man

An Amarillo man is dead after being involved in a forklift wreck.Amarillo Police were called to the report of a collision between a vehicle and a forklift in the 4600 block of Bushland Boulevard early Monday morning. At the scene officers determined a 2004 Nissan forklift was loading roofing materials off a tractor trailer when it struck a Ford F-350.

The driver of the forklift, 50-year-old Walter Orville Faux was injured in the accident and died from his injuries at a local hospital.

The APD has ordered an autopsy. The incident is still under investigation.
