Food Stamps are big business.  Since the beginning of the program prepared foods have been prohibited from the general recipients menu.  Perhaps not too much longer.

Increasingly businesses are lobbying to become a part of the  $64.7 billion per year program.  Dollar discount stores and convenience stores have been pushing and succeeding in getting approval for recipients to use their cards at their businesses.

Now Yum! brands has gotten into the act.  The Louisiana based company that brings you Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silver's and Pizza Hut has been lobbying congress to get approval to start accepting food stamps for their fast food.
