Florida A&M Drum Major Robert Champion Dead From Hazing Incident
Everyone is familiar with all of the 'hazing' that goes on in high school and college. While some think it is just harmless fun, it is starting to become apparent that these incidents are not "All in good fun". Robert Champion, a Florida A&M Band Member, was found dead on the school bus following one of these incidents.
Florida A&M University has suspended all performances by the marching band and is investigating the death of Champion. Robert Champion ,26, died shortly after performing at the Saturday Night football game. He was found dead on the bus.
Florida County Sheriffs are conducting an investigation and interviewing all players and members that were there that night. Dr. James Ammons has suspended all performances and looking into all reports of "unauthorized and questionable" activities in the 375 member band.
The sheriff's department is awaiting autopsy results.
