A dirt bike rider was killed early Saturday morning after fleeing from a Potter County Sheriff's Deputy.

It happened around 2:00am Saturday morning.  A Potter County Sherif's Deputy was responding to a noise complaint in the 100 block of Ramada Trail.  The complainant notified authorities that a dirt bike with loud pipes was disturbing residents.

The deputy saw the suspect bike and when he activated his lights to pull the bike over, the rider ran.  The deputy pursued the suspect.

The suspect sped through the intersection of Paseo and Ramada heading into Rolling Trail.  After crossing the intersection the bike hit a dumpster and the rider was ejected away from the bike.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police are still investigating the incident.
