Fisherman Dies When Boat Flips In West Texas Pond

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Emergency personnel have recovered the body of a 73-year-old fisherman who apparently drowned when his small boat overturned on a West Texas pond.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office says a relative of Wayne Teal summoned help Monday afternoon when he did not return from a fishing trip.

A dive team helped locate Teal's body several hours later in the private pond.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the boat to overturn. Authorities do not believe foul play was involved with the death.
