Fire At Best Western On I-40

The Best Western on I-40 was the scene of a fire last night.

Around 10:30pm a small flat-bed truck pulled in and attempted to make a wide turn.  During the turn a gas meter was struck.  A spark then ignited the gas.

The front office employees were evacuated.  Atmos was called out to shut down the gas line.

The hotel sustained a small amount of heat damage and no injuries were reported.
