Fire At Amarillo National Bank Building

Yesterday evening Amarillo firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the 12th floor of the Amarillo National Bank Plaza 2 building.

Upon arrival the AFD found the fire extinguished by the fire sprinklers in the building.

The fire caused the closing a few blocks of Taylor street.  Ten fire trucks, three support vehicles and 34 firefighters responded to the call.

No injuries were reported and the building was empty except for a couple maintenance workers.
