If you're looking for any kind of plot details in the final 'Expendables 3' trailer, you're probably going to be left wanting. This short-but-sweet preview is all about things that go boom, whether they be cars, buildings, boats or people. However, if your idea of a good trailer involves Harrison Ford laughing maniacally while firing missiles from his helicopter, you're probably in for a treat.

Look, we have earned the right to be a little snarky with this movie. First of all, the franchise is tongue-in-cheek enough to ask for it. Second of all, we got excited for the first two movies only for them to let us down in the harshest way imaginable. The fact that Part 3 actually looks like fun in trailer form has us extra cautious.

But it does kind of look like fun! With the young and interested Patrick Hughes behind the camera, the footage looks more expensive than both films combined, the action looks big and slick, and the actors actually appear to be somewhat engaged. Could the third time be the charm? Or are we just getting fooled again?

Here's the official synopsis:

In 'The Expendables 3,' Barney, Christmas and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks, who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill... or so he thought. In order to defeat Stonebanks, Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables' most personal battle yet.

'The Expendables 3' opens August 15 and features every action star known to man.
