- HISTORY OF THE CHARITY -
Snack Pak 4 Kids is a program that works to end weekend hunger for children living in the Texas panhandle. They provide a backpack filled with kid-friendly snacks every Friday of the school year. It costs the program approximately $133 a year (or $11 per month) to feed a child for the entire school year. Around 10-12 snacks, such as fruit cups, pop tarts, and drinks, are placed into a plastic bag by volunteers. Those bags are delivered to school who will then distribute the snacks to the children in backpacks. The program has grown to serve children in Amarillo, Fritch, Hereford, Tulia, River Road, Walcott, and Bushland.
