Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Loves Football, Dallas Cowboys

Another Saturday of buying, selling, and trading is in the books.  Let's take a look back for posterity.

It's the show that turns the airwaves over to you, allowing you to turn the unwanted stuff piled around your house into piles of cash.  All it takes to participate is making the phone call during the show.  We were atypically busy last Saturday and we really appreciate everyone that called.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they list their items.  It provides a stream of thought during the show.  This week we were getting ready for football.

With a full slate of games to look forward to on Sunday representing the first week of the NFL season we thought it was a good time to ask you if you were a fan of the NFL.  If you were we additionally wanted to know who your favorite team was.  The results weren't terribly surprising.

RULE #6

Along with the specific rules of conduct on the program I always bring you a special Rule #6.  We do the rules at the beginning of each hour.  The 6th rule is usually inspired by something that happened to me over the previous week.  Occasionally I am stumped for a rule and have to rely on rules I've jotted down.  That was the case this week.

A few weeks ago I was thinking about uniforms and what makes a good one.  It occurred to me that the vast majority of uniforms include some sort of a hat.  I cam to the conclusion that if your uniform doesn't include a hat it isn't a bona fide uniform.  I know they are special exceptions but the more I think about it the more I'm convinced every decent uniform must include a hat to complete the look.

Rule #6: If it doesn't include a hat it isn't a uniform.
