Dumas Check Forger On The Loose

Moore County Crime Stoppers is on the lookout for a check forger and is asking for your help in finding him.

On January 11th the Dumas Waterwell offices were burglarized.  The thief made off with cash and blank checks.

Four days later the company received a phone call from another business informing them that Bobby Perry,42, was trying to cash forged checks from Dumas Waterwell.

Perry is a former employee and he had been trying to cash the checks at businesses that will except third party checks. Perry has been able to cash at least one for $7000.

It is unclear whether Perry was the burglar but police are certain he is the one trying to pass the bogus checks.

Perry is a white male, 6-3 and is believed to be in Amarillo.  If you know his whearabouts contact Moore Country Crime Stoppers at 935-8477.  Your tip could lead to a reward of $600.
