DPS Seize Over $1 Million In Drugs On I-40

On Saturday the DPS pulled someone over for a traffic violation and found much more.

Just after 3pm on Saturday a DPS trooper stopped a 2033 Honda Van for a traffic violation near Conway, in Carson Counrty.

During the stop a canine unit was called in and alerted on the vehicle..  A subsequent search revealed several packages of heroin and cocaine located in a compartment underneath the rear floorboard.  Together, the drugs weighed over 16 pounds.

The driver was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

The drugs were allegedly being transported to Oklahoma City.
