It seems al Qaeda, the group responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, fancies itself a graphics design powerhouse as well. The creepy image above, which depicts the New York City skyline with the caption “Al Qaeda Coming Soon Again in New York,” was posted on a radical overseas website, and police and the FBI are investigating.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said the graphic appeared on a site heavily used by Jihadi and al Qaeda devotees, but adds there is no evidence of plots or specific threats to the area. (In case you’re wondering, he also said the graphic appears to have been created with Cinema 4 software, which typically costs about $1,600.)

FBI spokesperson J. Peter Donald said, “The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is aware of the posting and investigating its authenticity and origin. The FBI takes all threats seriously and at his time there is no specific or credible threat to New York.”
