Dallas Drug Deal Leaves One Dead, One Wounded

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police say one man has been killed and another wounded when a drug deal went wrong and a suspect fled after firing into a vehicle.

Police on Wednesday sought the person responsible for the gunfire outside a gas station. Police believe the two men who were shot late Tuesday night had been trying to sell drugs.

Investigators say one man was dead at the scene. Police say the second man was wounded but managed to drive away and later stopped to call 911. He underwent surgery at a Dallas hospital and should survive.

The name of the man who died wasn't immediately released.
