Crime Down In Amarillo

Yesterday at the Amarillo city commission meeting some pleasant statistics were given.

APD Chief Taylor told the meeting there has been some victories in the fight against crime in Amarillo.  A decrease in larceny theft of 9.5% and an overall drop in more serious crimes of 5%.

There was a 18.3% increase in robberies.

Increased patrols across the city have been credited with creating the drop.
