If you're looking for a job and are qualified the Amarillo Help Wanted sign is out and lite.

Following acting Amarillo City Manager Terry Childers' controversial 911 calls has led to city to announce they are opening up the search for a permanent city manager to other candidates.

According to Mayor Harpole and outside agency will be brought in to recruit candidates for the position.  It could take as long as six months before a permanent city manager is in place.

The council is also trying to fill the empty seat on the council, vacated by Brian Eades.  The position would last about 10 months, until the next election decides who would hold the seat.
