The Texas Railroad Commission is a three seat board that regulates oil and gas exploration in the state.  Republican Christi Craddick won the only contested seat last night besting Democrat Dale Henry.

Craddick was born in Midland and her father is former Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick. She campaigned against over regulation by the EPA and believes the commissions name should be changed to reflect it's true duties.

Democrats did not run against the other two seats on the commission.
