The City of Canyon's fire department is in a bit of a bind and they've come up with a plan to fix it.

The Canyon Fire Department is mostly volunteer.  I have an uncle who used to be a volunteer fire fighter and other than serving the community, it takes a lot of resources to play.

From gas to time it has become increasingly difficult for Canyon to retain volunteers.  Especially with the tough economy, the city is finding their ranks thin.  Too thin.

Canyon has decided to offer an incentive plan to help assist its volunteers.  They have a budget of around $35,000 per year to disperse amongst its volunteers.
