Judy Newton taught at Bivins Elementary for over 15 years.  She taught up until seven months ago when one of life’s lessons reared it’s unfortunate face.

Cancer is like anything else.  It’s hard for a person to get a sense of what it is like unless they’ve gone through it.

I’ve got a pretty good idea what Judy is going through.

In October Judy was diagnosed with cancer, her’s a brain tumor.  It had advanced to Stage IV.  Judy made the decision to be treated here in Amarillo.

Judy is still fighting the good fight and you can learn more by logging on to her daughter Aleisha’s blog called ‘Judy’s Journey’.
