I started my radio career in 1995 when I walked into the Broadcasting Department of WTAMU. In March of 1997 I started my first "real" radio gig at Kat Country 101.9. Then in 2001 I joined Mix 94.1 and I've been doing Middays. Then in the Spring of 2015 I had the privilege of moving to mornings. So every morning I get up with a pot of coffee and spend my morning with you on Mornings with Mix. I love living in Amarillo, because it is such a great city with great history and lots of fun things to do. In my free time, I love spending time with my son, reading whatever I can get my hands on and watching movies. Plus, being in radio I love music. I love everything from Classical to Folk and everything in between except Hip Hop, not a fan. Oh and I need a 12-step program for Netflix, I just cannot quit Netflix and my Netflix binges.

Your Local Mail Carriers Will “Stamp Out Hunger” This Saturday with the High Plains Food Bank

Hunger is a real thing here in the Texas Panhandle.  You would be amazed at how many people and families go hungry on a daily basis.    One in 7 people here in the Texas Panhandle are food insecure.  That's 77,000 people.   That's why this Saturday couldn't come at a better time.  Right now the High Plains Food Bank is in need of food donations. Twenty-four years ago the National Association of Letter Carriers started an event called Stamp Out Hunger to help out the hungry.  This Saturday they will continue that tradition and will collect food for the High Plains Food Bank.

Wildcat Bluff is Looking for Donations for Their New Rehab Center

The Wildcat Bluff Nature Center is such a wonderful place to go an enjoy nature.  They have wonderful hiking paths, as well as a area to enjoy in the nature center area.  They were just gifted with a new building for a rehab center and volunteers came out on Earth Day to help get that building set up.  Now they need your help in collecting supplies to help get the rehab center up and running.
