Atmos Rate Increase Suspended By The Amarillo City Commission

Atmos Energy is looking for a rate increase.  The Amarillo City Commissioners have suspended the proposal.

The commission could have granted the nearly 20 percent increase or request a suspension which would give the commission 90 days to negotiate with Atmos.

Atmos was last given a rate increase in 2012.

If the commission denies the rate increase the case could end up before the Texas Railroad Commission.  If it is denied there the case could head to court.
