Gambling and sports go together like peanut butter and jelly, so this PSA warning about the dangers of betting was designed to warn people about the potential pitfalls of wagering.
In this spot, we see boys discussing who they think will win the World Cup. One boy named Andy sadly says he’s cheering for Germany because his dad bet all his savings on them. While it’s a message to be cautious, you could say it backfired, seeing how Germany did indeed win the whole kit and kaboodle, giving Andy’s dad a handsome payday.
There really ought to be a follow-up, with the boy meeting his friends dolled up in a floor-length fur coat, throwing dollar bills at them to remind people of the joys of gambling.
