Another Day, Another Pot Bust On I-40
It’s has to be somewhat interesting to be a DPS officer. There is nothing routine about any given traffic stop.
On Friday the Texas Department of Public Safety pulled over a Honda Odyssey for a traffic violation. During the stop the vehicle was searched by a DPS K-9 unit and discovered 207 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. The pot was contained in 108 bundles inside the rear hatchback of the vehicle.
The drugs were on their way to Oklahoma City from El Paso.
Sandra Richardson, 43 and passenger Elsie Hernandez, 60 were both arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail.
