Angry Birds Downloaded 6.5 Million Times On Christmas

The most popular video game of all time got another boost just before the new year.  It was quite the Christmas for the game's developers.

It came as some surprise mixed with a bit of uneasy shock when we discussed awhile back how Angry Birds had taken the title of most popular video game of all time.

Apparently a lot of new Angry Birds-ready tech devices were given away as Christmas presents this season. 6.5 million MORE people downloaded the game.

The number includes free and paid versions and the expansions Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.

Compared to last year's 2 million downloads Rovio, the game's creator had a pretty bountiful Christmas season.
