Ammunition Sales In Amarillo Shooting Skyward

Gun sales are up in our area since the reelection of Barack Obama.  Ammunition sales have increased even more.

We do the Erwin Pawn Tradio Show on Saturday's on The New 940, KIXZ.  The show is sponsored by Erwin Pawn, where their big business is guns and ammunition.

And lately the ammunition has been the big seller.

According to David Erwin at Erwin Pawn ammo sales are up 300% of what they were last year.  He's selling 15-20 cases of ammo per day in the store.

Many people are stocking up with 500 or more rounds of ammo where in the past it would be 50-100.

It seems a lot of people in Amarillo are either preparing for the Mayan Apocalypse or the fear of coming civil unrest.
