‘Amish Eight’ Mugshots Go Viral

Looking ragged and ornery, eight Amish men were booked into the Graves County, Kentucky jail earlier this week for contempt of court after they refused to pay fines releated to not affixing orange safety triangles to their horse and buggies.
The men argued that the reflective triangles were too modern, and went against their Mennonite beliefs. The judge disagreed, however, and they received jail sentences ranging from three to ten days. The charge was relatively minor, but the mugshots taken at the time of their arrest have since spread like wildfire on the web.
In a nod to their religion, which frowns upon bright colors, the men were provided blue prison jump suits instead of the orange coveralls inmates are typically issued.
