LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Officials at Little Rock's airport say an American Airlines passenger jet made an unscheduled landing after a water leak developed in the cockpit.

Shane Carter, director of public affairs and governmental relations at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, says American Airlines flight 1106, flying from Dallas to Baltimore, landed in Little Rock at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday. Carter says the aircraft was carrying 147 passengers and landed safely.

Carter says the plane was diverted after the pilot reported that water was leaking into the cockpit. The cause of the leak was not immediately known and it was unclear if it was due to bitterly cold temperatures.

Carter says American Airlines crews repaired the leak and that passengers boarded the airplane shortly before 6 p.m. to resume their journey.
