The South Georgia Walmart seems to be cursed.

You would think that after a bomb threat, accidental shooting, and hostages were held at gunpoint by a disgruntled employee, this Walmart would have exhausted its bad luck. However, just this weekend, another unfortunate situation played out.

Around 3:30 on Sunday, August 21st, police were called to the parking lot, where a 51-year-old woman had been struck by a vehicle. She said that one of the passengers of the car that hit her got out and took her purse, then fled.

The story only gets crazier: a witness saw the robbery and followed the vehicle out of the parking lot. After a short drive, the vehicle stopped and a man got out with a gun. He pointed it at the witness, threatening to shoot him if he continued to follow them. The witness drove back to Walmart to speak to police.

APD is currently looking for these suspects. There were two Hispanic women in the front seat and three Hispanic men in the backseat of a four-door red Lincoln Town Car.

Thankfully, the victim of this crime only received minor injuries and was able to be treated.

Please contact the police at (806) 378-3038 or Amarillo Crime Stoppers if you have any information about the suspects. You can call (806) 374-4400 or submit an online tip here.
