Amarillo Special Crimes has ruled the shooting at an Amarillo business Monday as a murder/suicide.  A related shooting happened in Canyon earlier today.

Monday around 10:30am at GischMedia at 45th and Ridgecrest an employee from a neighboring business discoverd the bodies of David and Kendal Gisch. Both had been shot in the chest.  GischMedia is a web design company.

Autopsies were performed in Lubbock yesterday.  Preliminary results show David Gisch first shot Kendal and then turned the gun on himself.  It isn’t known what led up to the shooting and it has left friends and family in disbelief with the couple showing no signs of estrangement leading up to incident.

The authorities in Canyon responded to a shooting last night around 9:30.  Police were called to a home on Linda Lane where the shoots were fired.

Witnesses report a man, whose name is being held, was seen running down the street yelling for help.  The suspect then fled in a vehicle but was later stopped and arrested.

The authorities have confirmed there is a connection with the shooting in Canyon and the Gisch murder/suicide in Amarillo on Monday.  Police are still gathering information on the case, working to better understand the connection between the two incidents.
