Amarillo Police Searching For Weekend Armed Robbery Suspect

The Amarillo police department is looking for an armed robbery suspect.

Officers were called to the Toot ‘N Totum at 4041 South Washington Saturday night around 9:30 on a report of an armed robbery.

The male employee told officers that a suspect approached the register and produced a large knife and demanded money.  The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect fled on foot and was last seen walking southbound toward 41st Avenue.

Police are looking for a Hispanic male, 5’8″, approximately 200 pounds, wearing sunglasses, a tan coat with a hood, black shirt and blue jeans.
