Amarillo police are on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a hit and run early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight on Sunday police were called to 45th & Canyon on a report that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian on Southwest 45th and fled the scene.  Officers determined that 45-year-old Geoffrey Lynn Slover was walking southbound across 45th when he was struck by a car.  Slover died at the scene from injuries sustained in the incident.

Police are looking for a light colored, four-door mid-sized sedan.  It was last seen going westbound on SE 45th.  The sedan will have new damage to it’s hood and windshield.  If you have any information you are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
