Amarillo Police Make Arrest 24 Hours After Stabbing Incident
An arrest has been made on the Monday stabbing.
The stabbing occurred in the 200 block of South Tennessee. A woman and her ex-boyfriend were in her house when an acquaintance began banging at the door.
The man was later identified as Richard Earl Ewing, 35 who told police he was at the residence to discuss a previous stabbing involving Ewing’s brother.
An altercation happened outside the residence where Ewing stabbed a victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in his vehicle.
Ewing was brought to the police department for questioning and was eventually charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Potter County.
