Amarillo police arrested two on Sunday after they discovered pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

The traffic stop was at Pine Ridge and Landon.  The vehicle was a 2012 Dodge pickup occupied by a man and woman.

During the investigation officers discovered two containers inside the vehicle with approximately three and a half pounds of methamphetamine inside.  The street value was estimated at $160,000.

Pablo Barriga-Avalos, 23, and Cynthia Marbel Leon-Melendez, 36, both of Hutchins, Texas, were charged with manufacture/delivery of controlled substance penalty group over 400 grams. They were both booked into Randall County.
