The Amarillo Police Department has expanded the information available to the public on their website.

Previously the information now made available was information only available by contacting the department.  The information is details not usually available through news releases or Nixle, the department's subscriber based message service.

The information now provided include dates or reports, complainant's name and address when required by law, names of arrested persons, and address and a description of the incident.  Posted information will not include juvenile offenders, suicides, mental health cases, offenses involving child abuse or neglect, references to people that are suspects but have not been arrested or charged an offense, or identity of a victim or specific details in a reported sexual assault.

The police department's website is police.amarilllo.gov.  The report listing is accessible through "Reports" and the pull down tap "Public Release".
