Amarillo Has A Synthetic Marijuana Problem
It’s available in smoke shops across the city. It is dangerous. And unfortunately it is totally legal.
Amarillo is combating a synthetic marijuana problem. There have been reports of elementary school children getting their hands on some of this stuff and suffered various unfortunate effects.
The problem is that once lawmakers make one type of synthetic marijuana illegal the bathroom chemists change their formula to make their smoke-able product fall within the boundaries of the law.
The Amarillo City Commission has taken up the issue and has solicited the Texas Legislature to take action and to do so soon.
