Amarillo Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint Late Monday Night

Just before midnight on Monday Amarillo police were called to the Murphy USA at 4209 Canyon Drive on a report of an armed robbery.

The clerk told police that a man wearing a dark hoodie, jeans, gloves and a white plastic mask had just robbed the store at gunpoint.

The suspect handed the clerk a sack and told him to put the money in it.

The suspect fled south on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.  There were no injures and the incident is still under investigation.
