Amarillo Fire Marshal Investigating Tuesday Fire

The Amarillo Fire Department was called to a structure fire in the 500 block of Southwest 10th on Tuesday at around 10:25pm.

While firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze traffic was diverted in both the east and westbound lanes.  Fire crews had the fire under control by 10:54pm.  The building received heavy fire and smoke damage.

AFD said no one was injured and the building was vacant when crews arrived.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Amarillo Fire Marshal.
