Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show Signs Deal With Civic Center

The Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show is going on now and even when it's over it won't be going away.

The show is produced by the IDEAg Group and the current show started Tuesday at the Civic Center.

This year's show is the 28th in Amarillo with more than 500 exhibitors participating.  Attendance usually is over 30,000, made up of attendees from several states.

Yesterday IDEAg announced they have signed an agreement to keep the show in Amarillo for five more years.  The show has a tremendous economic impact on the city from hotels to eateries and of course sales taxes.

This years show runs from 9-5 today and 9:30 to 4 on Thursday.
