Amarillo Economic Corporation Seeking Tax Break For Coca-Cola

The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation or the AEDC is seeking a tax break for the new Coca-Cola plant.

Coca-Cola is moving from its downtown location to make way for downtown revitalization. The AEDC is building the new facility and is now seeking Potter County Commissioner's approval on a tax break for the new bottling plant.

The deal would freeze Coke's taxes at present levels even after they move to the newer and more valuable facility.

The AEDC is funded by a half cent from sales taxes in Amarillo.
