Amarillo Drive-By Shooting Early Sunday Morning

A drive-by shooting early Sunday morning sent one person the the Emergency Room.APD responded to a report of shots fired near 16th and Ong just after midnight Sunday morning. Police report a vehicle drove by the intersection and exchanged fire with a man standing at the intersection. The man was hit once and taken to the hospital.

The APD has made one arrest on a weapons charge but are continuing to search for the suspect vehicle.
