Amarillo Commissioners To Vote On Resolution Concerning Synthetic Drugs In The City
Most agree that synthetic drugs are a problem in Amarillo. But many are divided on how to address the issue.
The Amarillo City Commissioners are set to review and then soon vote on an ordinance that will fight the sale of these substances in the city. It is a tough issue to tackle because as quickly as individual substances can be made illegal, chemists find ways to skirt the new bans.
At this point, the commission is planning on voting an a resolution to send to state and federal lawmakers urging action on February 29th.
