Thanks to a generous grant, Amarillo College is expanding it’s campus to Hereford.

William C. Hanshaw of Scottsdale, Ariz., called Matney last fall and offered $3 million to help build a campus that will be named in honor of his late wife in Hereford. The college will contribute $2 million to help build the campus.

Groundbreaking is set for 10am Friday.

It is hoped the campus will be ready for students by 2014.
