Amarillo City Council Votes To Delay Vote On Xcel Rate Increase

The Amarillo City Council is considering a rate hike for Xcel Energy.but first they have voted to reschedule the vote.

The rate increase was proposed last month.  If approved it would mean a residential customers bill would rise by $2.

The rate increase is earmarked for infrastructure upgrades.

The proposal is close to 30,000 pages long.
