Accident Near Hereford Leaves Two Dead

An fatal accident occurred near Hereford around 8am Saturday morning.

Juan Vasquez-Sanchez, 89 and Feliciana Vasquez, 88, both of Bushland, were traveling south on FM 809 near Hereford.  They were driving a Dodge pickup truck pulling a homemade horse trailer.

Troopers state the vehicle went out of control as they were approaching a curve and traveled into the opposite lane.  The driver over corrected and skidded into a a ditch.  The trailer came loose from the truck, the truck rolled over.

Vasquez-Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. Vasquez was taken to the hospital where she soon died from her injuries.

According to the DPS, neither were wearing seat belts.
