A Wichita Falls Man Arrested After Trying To Pay Taxes With One Dollar Bills

It is tax time and that can frustrated a lot of different people.  A man from Wichita Falls decided he was going to pay the county with nothing but one dollar bills. 

I'll admit that I have often thought about paying something off in nothing but pennies but I don't have the guts to do that to someone.  Well, 27 year old Timothy Andrew Norris did!  He went to the Wichita Falls County Courthouse Annex to pay his property taxes.

His taxes were $600 and he had the money.  The problem is that he had the $600 in nothing but folded up one dollar bills.  According to the Wichita Falls newspaper, the Wichita County Tax Assessor Collector said they were folded so small and tight that it took them six minutes to unfold each one.

He was asked to leave because he was disrupting normal operations.  He refused to leave so the police were called.  The report says he pulled away from the deputy twice and is now being charged with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.

I can see how this would be annoying but isn't money money?
