Saturdays we bring buyers and sellers together on News Talk 940.

It’s called Trade-A-Thon presented by Damron’s Pawn.  We invite you to call in a list for sale the stuff you no longer want but still has value.  It happens every Saturday from 9-noon.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they make their listing.  It helps us get to know them a little better and provides a theme that ties together the calls.  Sometimes topical, this week we went continued a theme we started last week.  We recently compared apples and oranges and decided this week to stay with the fruit theme.

What was the last fruit you ate?

Apples, bananas, and oranges all got 4 votes.

RULE 6

We go over the guidelines that govern the show at the beginning of each hour.  Along with the five regular rules of conduct, I always bring you a special Rule #6 that changes every week.

I’m a big James Brown fan and have often found life inspiration from his music.  I was listening the other day and realized one song was perfect for the Trade-A-Thon seller.
