Monday morning at the Walmart on South Coulter a 70 year old man was robbed of cash as he loaded recently bought groceries into his car.

This one hits a little close to home for me, not only because it is despicable but this is the Walmart I frequent.

It always seemed like a pretty safe place to shop.  It is on a ‘good’ side of town.

But crime can strike anywhere and at anytime.

As the man was unloading his groceries a white male approached, appearing to be around 25.  He asked to use the gentleman’s cell phone.  When he said he didn’t have a cell phone the assailant revealed he had a gun and demanded money.  The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

Call Crime Stoppers if you have any information about this heinous crime at 374-4400
