The NCAA Tournament sure is popular, especially with gamblers.  Unlike most sport bets the attraction holds for both men and women.  And children.  Yikes!

In Omaha, Nebraska an elementary school kid decide to run a NCAA betting pool amongst his friends.  The buy-in was $5.  The 11 year old ran afoul of the principal when she discovered this vast and incredibly lucrative betting ring.

When the school contacted the boys mother she expressed amusement instead of dismay.

The boy did not receive any further disciplinary action other than the termination of his pool.

He's got North Carolina for the win.
