UAB shut down its football program earlier this month.

A 5-year-old fan is doing his part to revive it.

Meet Bennett. A self-proclaimed Ohio State fan who lives in the Buckeye State, Bennett sent one dollar to UAB in the hopes it could help save the football program.

In case you're having trouble reading the letter, it says:

Dear UAB,

My name is Bennett. I love Ohio State, but[t] think you should have football too. Here is one dollar to help! - Bennett

As you probably know, Bennett's 100 pennies aren't nearly enough to help the Blazers reinstate football, but the school certainly appreciated his efforts and rewarded him with a boatload of gear. So, essentially he paid a buck to get a lot of swag. Good luck getting that kind of deal while doing your Christmas shopping at Sports Authority.
